Introducing the first mainstream color e-reader, the Pocketbook Color 633. This device features a six inch capacitive touchscreen display that can display over 4,096 colors and 300 PPI. It is employing the new E INK color technology that was unveiled earlier this year. Pocketbook is the first global brand to release a color ebook reader.
One of the benefits of a color Pocketbook e-reader is that it will be able to display cover art in full color and also many non-fiction books have a series of pictures in the middle of the book, those will be in color too. Textbooks, tutorials, art-books, medical guides, comics, webtoons and business literature now are more enjoyable to view on an e-reader. All pictures, graphs, charts, diagrams, maps, and other illustrations will now be colored – as the authors initially created them.
This device has Bluetooth, Text to Speech and will have a front-lit display. PocketBook is one of the largest global manufacturers of e-readers based on E Ink technology. The company was founded in 2007 and its headquarters are located in Switzerland. PocketBook products are represented in 40 countries worldwide with millions of devices sold to date. In 2012 PocketBook has represented e-reader with E Ink Triton color screen – PocketBook Color Lux. This model was the first in the world featured both color E Ink screen and frontlight. It sold well, but e-readers have come a long way since then, this new device truly looks excellent.
PocketBook Color supports 17 book formats; ACSM, CBR, CBZ, CHM, DJVU, DOC, DOCX, EPUB, EPUB(DRM), FB2, FB2.ZIP, HTM, HTML, MOBI, PDF, PDF (DRM), PRC, RTF, TXTand 4 graphic formats, such as JPEG, BMP, PNG, TIFF.
